Personal data can appear in public listings, accounts, marketing systems, and breach records. ScamSafe records the source evidence it actually observes and does not infer a specific cause unless the evidence supports it.

When does the DPDP Act 2023 start?

Accepted Answer

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 is enacted, but the Central Government's 13 November 2025 commencement notification schedules sections 11–17, including Section 12, to commence eighteen months after publication, on 13 May 2027. ScamSafe does not describe Section 12 as currently enforceable before that date.

ScamSafe can help identify an evidence-backed finding, locate a verified privacy or grievance route, prepare an appropriate privacy, deletion, or unlisting request, and record what happens. Before a statutory provision has commenced, ScamSafe does not label a request as an enforceable demand under that provision.

Will my data come back after removal?

Accepted Answer

A later observation can show data again. ScamSafe treats that later observation as a separate evidence event and does not infer why it appeared or that an earlier removal failed unless the evidence supports that conclusion.
