ScamSafe finds the companies that may have your phone number and email, and sends formal deletion requests in your name under the DPDP Act.
ScamSafe started close to home. Members of our own families lost money to scams — money they had worked hard for and couldn't afford to lose. And it wasn't just them. Every day we'd read another news story about someone being cheated, and too often it was elderly people losing the savings they had spent their whole lives building.
We kept asking ourselves one question: how do these scammers and spammers get our phone numbers, names and details in the first place? The answer was uncomfortable. Our personal data is being collected, sold and passed from one company to another, until it ends up in the wrong hands.
While looking into this, we came across India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. The law gives every citizen the right to control their data and ask companies to delete it. But almost nobody knows this law exists, and even fewer know how to use it.
That gap is why we started ScamSafe — to help ordinary people take back control of their personal data, using the rights they already have, before it can be used against them or their families.

The DPDP Act gives you the right to ask companies to delete your data. That part of the law starts on 13 May 2027. We use it for you, in writing, and keep a record of every reply. More on our DPDP Act page.
